Large Group Categories

Large Group Speech consists of the following events. 

Group Improv (3 groups per team, 2-5 people, create a story and characters spontaneously) 

Group Mime (3 groups per team, 2-6 people, 7 minute time limit, prepared story told with movement) 

Solo Mime (3 entries per team, 1 person, prepared story told with movement)

Musical Theatre (3 groups per team, memorized scene and song(s) with up to 8 people)

Readers Theatre (1 entry per team, interpretive presentation with script focused on the story and creation of characters, up to 15 people)

One Act Play (1 entry per team, fully produced play with a time limit of 35 minutes) 

Ensemble Acting (3 entries per team, memorized scene with up to 6 people)

Radio Broadcasting (3 entries per team, pre-recorded)

Short Film  (3 entries per team, pre-recorded)

Television News (3 entries per team, pre-recorded)

Choral Reading (1 entry per team, interpretive presentation with script and musical elements, with an emphasis on reading in unison)
